I have been developing a new art form that I labeled 'PhotoSculptures' for the past twelve years. I take a photograph and sculpt out the dimensional layers to 'reclaim the 3-D from a 2-D image'. No ORIGINAL photograph is harmed, I work from a digital scan. I use variety of techniques to obtain the optical illusion that makes the viewer feel like they can step into the sculpture. I also offer some of my own images in limited editions.
I use the less-toxic, high-resolution laser prints on photographic paper and recycled paper products are used in the building process. The glass is low-glare, and is just about invisible, to help with the illusion.
